A little suprised to receive an email to advise train was leaving 30mins earlier than advertised but at least we knew! Cabin was clean and comfortable, staff helpful

Free snacks
Lovely room and comfy beds. Much less noisy and bumpy than I expected. Kids loved all the free snacks and drinks and having a shelf on their top bunks to store them. A great way to travel. Great service from the staff.
Excellent Customer Service
Didn’t actually board the train as it was cancelled due to Typhoon Yagi. The communication I received however from Customer Service Team at Chapa express was exceptional. I was kept updated in the days leading up to my departure and given plenty of notice about the track closure so I could make alternate plans. I will definitely book with them in the future.
Great overall experience
I loved the decor, timeliness and helpful staff, this was a great way to get from Hanoi to Sapa! My only complaint, but a big one, is that they turned off the AC in the middle of the night so everyone had a hard time sleeping and it was very hot in the cabin.

The Chapa Express is a must-do when you visit Vietnam
The Chapa Express is a wonderful experience. The interior design of the cabins are spectacular with their dark walls which frame the traditional multi-coloured weavings displayed on the walls. The beds and pure white bedding are very comfortable, but could be crampt for anyone over 6 foot. Highly recommend getting a cabin to yourself if you can push the budget. The air con kept us at the perfect temperature.

A lovely overnight train to Sapa. Comfortable bed mattress and linen but a little too skinny.
Great Sleeper Experience
Pleasantly surprised by the clean and comfortable VIP 2 berth cabin. We didn’t expect to sleep but actually did! Snacks, beer, welcome tea and friendly staff helped.
